A useful answer is more than correct tones.
Work on pronunciation, sentence structure and the meaning of your answer separately. First make sure you answered the question. Then fix a recurring language mistake or a difficult sound. Finally, answer again without looking at the example.
- 1. Answer before reading the example.
Find out what you can already say.
- 2. Choose one improvement.

HSK oral practice questions
Is HSK oral the same as HSKK?
People often use “HSK oral” to mean HSKK, the speaking test with Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels. HSK 3.0 also has level-specific speaking tests. Check the exact exam name on your registration; the formats are not interchangeable.
Can I practise HSKK online for free?
Yes. Browse our original questions and sample answers, and record a sample sentence in the free pronunciation exercise below. The browser exercise evaluates pronunciation, not the grammar or relevance of a freely spoken answer. Usage limits apply.
Are these official HSKK past papers?
No. TonePerfect authors independent practice material. These questions are not official past papers, and the exercises are not a full mock test. Official format references are linked on each level page.
Will a pronunciation score predict my HSKK result?
No. A pronunciation practice score measures a different task. An oral answer also needs to address the question and communicate meaning. Use the feedback to choose what to practise, not to predict an official score.
Should I memorise sample answers?
Use an example to notice its structure, then answer with your own details. Practise a new question afterward to check that you can use the same structure independently.
