How it works

Apply
Tell us where you teach and which languages. We reply within a few working days with your code, for example MARIA, and your link toneperfect.app/code/MARIA.

Share it with your students
They redeem the code in the app (Settings › Redeem a code) or open your link on the web, and get 7 days of Pro free. Give them sentences from your lesson to record: they can type any text.

Get paid monthly
When a student who used your code pays for the first time, you get 25% of that payment. We send a statement and pay by PayPal or bank transfer once your balance reaches $20.
What your students get
- Every word and every sound scored from 0 to 100, in Mandarin Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean
- Mandarin: the tone of every syllable, scored apart from the consonant and vowel, and the tone it heard
- Their weakest sounds ranked, so practice goes where it helps most
- Any sentence they type, so they can rehearse what you covered in class

The terms, in plain words
- 25% of each referred student's first payment (monthly, yearly or lifetime), on the price the student paid, excluding VAT or sales tax.
- A student counts once, on the first payment within 90 days of redeeming your code. Payments reversed by the App Store, Google Play or the bank do not count.
- Say that it is your referral code when you share it. No ads on the TonePerfect name, no spam, no fake reviews.
- The 7 free days are a gift, once per student account, never on top of a paid plan.
- We can change or end the programme with 30 days’ notice; what you earned until then is paid.

We read every application. Nothing is published and we never share your details.
FAQ
- Do my students have to pay?
- No. The 7 days of Pro are free, and the app has a free tier with daily limits after that. You earn only if a student decides to subscribe.
- Does it replace me?
- No. It checks the sounds and tones a student produces when you are not there; it does not score free conversation, sentence intonation or Japanese pitch accent. Most tutors use it as homework between lessons.
- How do you know which students came from me?
- The code is stored on the student’s account when they redeem it, and their first payment is matched to it.
- Is there a fee for me?
- No. If you want to try the app yourself, ask for a free Pro period in your application.
- I run a school, not private lessons.
